Little Pearls of Wisdom
We think it’s an incredibly special thing that women turn to each other for advice on anything and everything - from life-changing decisions through to which outfit to choose (which can also be life-changing!). Sometimes, these gems of advice stick with us for years to come and at White Hot we think that more often than not, it’s the advice you receive from your mum or another female relative that stay with us longest. March is a time to celebrate women - with International Women’s Day as well as Mother’s Day here in the UK, so with this in mind we’d like to ask you to share the most memorable piece of advice you’ve had from an inspirational woman, whether that’s your mum or someone else. To set the ball rolling, the White Hot team have trawled their memories for those little pearls of wisdom we got from our mums over the years. Jayne : “My mother is no longer with us but two of her maxims that have stuck with me are 'it's a grand life if you don't weaken' and 'if a job's worth doing it's worth doing well'. She was born in 1927 and had a fantastic positive spirit and attitude to life.” Jo : “You can be absolutely anything you want to be.” Carrie : “Always put yourself in the other person’s shoes before you dive in with a response.” Charlotte : “If you don’t ask, you don’t get.” If you’d like to share any gems you’ve acquired from your mums / heroines, we’d love to hear from you over on our Facebook page.
