It's our first Story of the Month. At White Hot, we love hearing your journeys to grey, your experience ditching the dye, lessons learned, top tips and your favourite routines. We mentioned that we're starting a Story of the Month, where each month, we share a story from one of our wonderful customers. Kicking us off, it's Vicky.
'Once COVID shut down the salons I made the hard decision to embrace my white hair. There was fear and uncertainty through the grow out process. My family's comments were ‘I don’t want an old looking mom’ to my own fear that once my hair took on the traditional older lady colour than people would start treating me old and that I wouldn’t feel as confident.
I tried to put a positive approach on it by referring to my natural colour as ‘angel hair’ which was a huge plus for my mindset. I found the right stylist (not all advice good on white hair). I keep a modern cut and most importantly use quality products. It has been a learning curve figuring out what works best.
From use of styling tools, to sun exposure damage to water quality in our locale. I’ve been using White Hot for about a year now and it has been the best decision. I love wearing my true authentic self. This is me at 53 and I don’t care who likes it!'
