Our White Hot packing list
Whether it’s an overnight stay with friends or a glorious ‘staycation’ at the coast, I love a packing list so I thought today I’d share a few of my must-haves and of course some White Hot essentials. Even if you’re only going as far as your back garden, there are a few ideas here to help you feel in a summer mood.
Gloss Bar - if you haven’t tried it yet, it’s pack-perfect (don’t forget to take a soap box or a fabric bag to transport it in once you’ve started to use it)
Luminous Conditioner - it’s easy squeezy to decant into a smaller bottle if you’re going away and perfect to condition sun drenched (or wind or rain!) hair
Lifeshine Oil and/or Shooshing Crème - they’re both perfect travel size and great for slicking back or scrunching in for an air-dry!
Hair clips and bands - I’ve just bought a couple of beautiful fabric bands from One Hundred Stars, perfect for experimenting with, particularly where no one knows you...
Comb - a really wide toothed comb. I put a drop of Lifeshine Oil in my palm, then run the tips of the comb’s teeth across it for the lightest application of gloss and shimmer
2 books I’ve really enjoyed with a distinctive holiday theme (but they are both about so much more than that) - The Vacationers by Emma Straub and The Weekend by Australian writer, Charlotte Wood. Check them out.
Pillow spray - I love This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray (especially for balmy summer nights!). It puts me in instant relax mode wherever I lay my head.
SPF - A great everyday facial moisturiser with a factor 30 spf, La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Aquagel, an easy way to start a sunny day with a light gel texture.
