Top tips for salt and pepper

We often receive comments under our posts on Facebook from people who haven’t tried our range yet, that hate their natural hair because it isn’t bright white but instead have an array of shades in their hair, some darker slate grey, some sparkling silver. At White Hot, we LOVE salt and pepper. It is unique, beautiful and we adore the many different tones in one head of hair. Today I wanted to share a few ways to give your salt and pepper hair the best care, so you love it too.

Start with Glorious Shampoo. Salt and pepper hair often doesn’t need purple products as much as pure white or silver hair and so we always suggest starting with our creamy white Glorious Shampoo to detox, nourish and allow those silvers to shine. A double cleanse is always a good idea, followed by Luminous Conditioner for a final burst of hydration.

Salt and pepper hair can sometimes feel more coarse or dry and so we would recommend finishing any cleanse routine with a few drops of Lifeshine Oil to boost gloss, reduce frizz and add moisture.

If you’re looking for a shampoo to swap into your routine or use as a second cleanse, try Gloss Bar. Gentle, de-tangling and packed with hydrating ingredients, it is super easy to use and works beautifully with Glorious Shampoo.

As mentioned, purple products aren’t as key to radiant salt and pepper hair, but using our soft violet Intense Lustre Mask every couple of weeks to brighten your silver strands, deeply condition and hydrate is a great bonus tip.

If you need anything else from us, or require some more personal advice, reach out on Facebook or Instagram or send a note to customercare@whitehothair.co.uk and we’ll get back to you.
